2nd Alarm at Ambridge Apartment Complex PDF Print E-mail

Station 47 was dispatched as the second alarm assignment to box 71-1 for the apartment building on fire with occupants trapped at the Regency Court Apartments in the Boro of Ambridge.

Initial  reports confirmed a working fire with multiple residents reported being trapped by heat, smoke and flames on the 3rd, 4th, and 5th floors.

Crews from Ambridge 71 and Harmony Twp 48 made the initial attack and knock down of the third-floor apartment fire and rescued numerous victims.  Units from Fair Oaks 46 were assisting Ladder 71 with rescues from the Duss Avenue side of the structure.

Crews from Rescue 47 performed primary search of divisions 2, 3, 4, and 5, while crews from Engine 47-2 assisted initial fire attack crews and performed salvage and overhaul in the fire rooms.

Chief 47 reported to 71 command and assumed accountability.
