Baden Volunteer Fire Department was dispatched for 3 calls on Wednesday, March 24th, 2010. The first of which was a residential fire alarm activation on North Ave. Engine 47-1 departed with a full crew to arrive on scene with 'nothing showing'. After an investigation, it was determined that the source of the smoke was a faulty pellet burner.
En route back to Station 47, dispatch advised of flooding at the Baden Water Authority.
Shortly after returning to service, there was a hit and run accident with entrapment and injuries at 65 and Virginia. Rescue 47 arrived on scene, followed closely by Engine 47-1. Rescue crews cut open the driver side door and extricated the patient within 5 minutes of arriving. Economy Ambulance assisted with the extrication and took the patient to a nearby hospital.
