ENGINE 471


Engine 471 is a 2003 Pierce Dash. It is equipped with a 2000 GPM pump capability. There are three speedlays and
two crosslays. This truck has a 1000 gallon capacity of water along with 35 gallons of class A foam and 35 gallons
of Class B foam. This apparatus is also equipped with an assortment of hand tools, power tools and scene lighting.

 

ENGINE 472


Engine 472 is a 1984 Pierce Dash equipped with a 1250 GPM pump capability.
It holds 1000 gallons of water and it also has a portable dump tank stored in the
rear compartment. This engine contains three crosslays and scene lighting.

 

RESCUE 479


Rescue 479 is a heavy rescue unit built on a 2005 Pierce Saber chasis. The department designed this truck to be the
best of its kind and function with pure efficiency. It is fully equipped with a tool for every situation. The BVFD is
constantly focusing on improving and advancing our rescue training techniques and updating equipment. Our rescue is now
ready for any vehicle rescue, trench or structural collapse rescue and even some water and rope rescue. This rig can
also pull the Technical Rescue Trailer if needed.

 

TRUCK 470


Truck 470 is a 1970 American LeFrance Aero-Chief. This 70ft. snorkel operates with a
two-man bucket and carries numerous tools for ventilation and a full compliment of ladders.
The boom can be operated from the turn-table mounted on the rear of the truck or from inside the bucket.

 

SQUAD 475


Squad 475 is a 2000 Ford F-350 Super Duty. This Diesel pick-up can serve as a command
unit or be used to transport manpower to and from emergency scenes. Also, this truck
contains equipment for brush fires including forestry hose, Indian packs and rakes.
This rig also pulls the Technical Rescue Trailer when needed.

 

TECHNICAL RESCUE TRAILER


In 2005, the BVFD purchased a 20ft. cargo trailer designed and dedicated to technical rescue including structural/trench collapse.
